Conditions of entry for our online competition 2016

The organiser of the online competition is rasoulution, Thomas-Wimmer-Ring 9, Munich.


Anybody who is at least 18 years of age may enter the competition with the exception of employees of Continental and, their families or employees of agencies involved in the organisation of the competition

Entering the competition is free of charge. 

Entrants shall require a Facebook account to enter the competition. Followers of the Continental Facebook channel (www.facebook.com/ContinentalMTB) may enter the competition by commenting in the comments below the competition post on the Continental Facebook page within the competition period. The competition post is an official post by Continental which will be posted at the start of the competition period on both Facebook pages. Entrants must also follow Continental facebook after this post in order to be entered in the competition draw.

Each entrant may only enter the competition by one comment at the competition post.

The prizes: What is stated in the Facebook post


The winners shall be notified by Continental within 2 days after the competition and draw by email and their names may be published on Continental portals and/or the websites of its joint venture partners. The winners hereby expressly agree to this form of publication. Continental shall be entitled to send the winners' details to its joint venture partners so as to enable them to deliver the prizes. If a winner fails to make contact with his or her complete mail address within four weeks of notification, all claims to the prize shall be voided and a new winner will be selected by a draw. Claims to the prize shall also be voided if it is not possible to deliver the prize within 6 months of the initial notification about the prize for reasons for which the winner is responsible. 

No winner shall be entitled to demand the prize be paid in cash or a substitute prize be awarded. The prize may not be assigned and shall be non-transferable.

Entering using a competition service or using automated competition bots or other means of manipulation shall not be permitted. Continental reserves the right to exclude the entrant from the competition in the event of a rule being breached.

Continental also reserves the right to exclude or disqualify entrants from the competition and not to award the prize or to cancel the prize and demand its return in the following circumstances:
• Entrants who are not private individuals in the legal sense,
• Entrants under the age of 18 or cannot provide evidence that they are over the age of 18,
• Entrants who are employed by Continental or by an affiliated company or by other companies which are involved in the competition and their immediate relatives (partners, parents, siblings and children) and members of the households of said employees.
• Entrants who attempt or actually manage to enter multiple times in each competition period,
• Entrants who use banned tools or attempt to gain an advantage for themselves by other means of manipulation,
• Entrants who have provided false personal details,
• Entrants who cannot be reached using the entered contact details or who do not respond to the winning notification from Continental within the period specified in the competition,
• Entrants who breach these conditions of entry.
• In the event of an exclusion or disqualification, Continental shall conduct another draw to select a new winner for the prize from the other entrants.

In addition, the following posts/comments/shares/tweets shall be excluded from the competition:
• which are insulating, derogatory or discriminatory.
• which glorify violence, are xenophobic, pornographic or racist.
• with political content.
• with advertising content.
• which are otherwise illegal or breach the rights of third parties.


This competition is not connected in any way whatsoever to Facebook and is in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Facebook. The recipient of the information provided shall not be Facebook but Continental. The information provided shall only be used for identifying and contacting the winner.

Continental shall only accept liability for damage caused by Continental or one of its agents maliciously or through gross negligence or by the negligent breach of duties which are of major important for the achievement of the aim of the contract. These restrictions shall not apply to damage cases of death, personal injury and/or health impairment. The above limitations of liability shall in particularly be applicable to damages caused by errors, delays or interruptions in the transmission, faults in the technical systems and the service, incorrect content, loss or deletion of data or viruses.

Continental reserves the right to stop, amend or end the competition at any time without notice and without giving reasons. Continental shall in particular exercise this right if the competition cannot be staged correctly for technical reasons (for example viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons. If such termination is caused by the actions of an entrant, Continental may demand compensation from this person for the damages suffered.

Entry to the competition shall constitute the complete and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these conditions of entry.

The registration details shall be saved by Continental in compliance with the statutory regulations for the duration of the competition and distribution of prizes and, for the purposes of distributing the prizes, may send them to its joint venture partner or to the agency supporting the joint venture partner which may also save the registration details for the duration of the competition and distribution of the prizes.

The competition shall be subject exclusively to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Questions or complaints relating to the organisation of the competition should be sent within 14 days of becoming aware of the reason in writing, quoting the competition, to is rasoulution, Thomas-Wimmer-Ring 9, Munich.
