Products for Bicycles
Thanks to your tires (the CrossKings) I hadn't got any flat tires while doing the French Divide. A 2.228 km race with 35.000 elevation on the most beautiful but hardest mountainbike trails in France. I finished it in 13 days and 9 hours […]. The tires are now ready to replace but they've done their job more than well! Really happy with your product! Thank You!
I'm not contacting you to complain, rather I'm contacting you to tell you how happy I am with my Gatorskins. I have ridden them 5,000 miles over the past two years with only one flat tire and plan to ride them awhile longer. They are the best bicycle tire I have ever had.
I have the Grand Prix 4000 S II, 23mm on my bike for four years now and did over 12.000 km on them in hilly terrain. Amazing! Usually my tires were done after 6 to 8.000 km. […] A very satisfied customer. Best wishes!
I am 68 and a lifelong cyclist. Continental Gatorskins are the best tires I have ever ridden, especially in Arizona where thorns are a problem. In all the years I have used them I have had only one sidewall puncture. Thank you for producing a superior product.
[…] I happen to be a bicycle commuter and have totaled over 18,000 miles in Charlotte, NC through wind, rain, storm, sleet, snow and sweltering heat with your Gatorskins. I have toraled over 7,000 miles in 2017 and was on schedule to total 10,000 for the year when I was hit by an SUV while commuting to work. I am still coming back from this and working to be whole again.
That said, I have been thinking of things I am thankful for and your Gatorskins are part of it. One tire in particular went over 7,000 miles with me. It was a bit worn but integrity and ability of the tire was still there. Thank you for working with me safely for so many miles without harm.
It might be some weeks yet before I can get a bike and get back to work but I intend to ride Gators since they have been so dependable. Thank you.
I am a 70 year old who completed a bicycle ride from Astoria, Oregon to Portsmouth, NH this past summer as a fund raiser to fight breast cancer. […] I am writing you because I did something on the ride that I think is extremely unique. […] I wish I could say that my most noteworthy accomplishment was due to my endurance, perseverance or skill. But no, instead it was due to a combination of luck and what turned out to be a very propitious decision before I started the ride.
The accomplishment was that I rode a road bike with “race” tires - 25 mm rather than the wider tires most would tour on - for 3,500+ miles from the coast of Oregon to the coast of New Hampshire, including on highways, back country roads, gravel roads, dirt roads and dirt paths, over broken pavement, road debris and occasionally glass AND I NEVER GOT EVEN 1 FLAT TIRE! No, not one.
The propitious decision, and the reason that I am sending you this message, is that I had chosen CONTINENTAL GRAND PRIX S II tires for my trip. Although I made 2 complete tire changes, one was fairly early in the ride because the first set already had quite a few pre-trip miles on them. I was probably being overly cautious with the second change but in neither case was the change due to a flat and never were threads showing through the tires or even any serious wear spots.
I am contemplating a Laura’s Ride East Coast next summer from Maine to Key West, Florida. If I do, I intend to again use Continental Grand Prix S II tires.
This is not a complaint. On the contrary it is to complement you on the excellence of your tires. I have just completed a tour of Europe from my home in Greece to the north of Norway. A lot of this ride was on dirt roads in Sweden and on awful stone tracks in Albania. I fitted the rear Top Contact when I was near Brno, so it has done about 12,000k. […] Also good, but I feel the Top Contact has lasted better.
I see no reason for changing either tire yet and it will be interesting to see what distance they finally achieve.
Excellent and thank you
[…] Thank you so much for supporting me with my cycling tour. […]. With good reason I can say that […] the Conti tires […] did their job more than well.
The tires had to show what they have on the highway between Leh and Manali. Although they are not the lightest, they roll easy and comfortably. […] Surprisingly they even roll pretty well with pressures of 3.5 bar and more, combined with a relatively high comfort. My choice for upcoming travels! The profile is never overstrained, even on gravel roads and in snow – in relation to tires with bigger studs.
On Wednesday I will be flying to Vancouver, to ride through Canada’s wild and the national parks all the way down to Los Angeles.
Of course the Contis […] will be on board, even though I expect the conditions not to be that challenging.
