Meanwhile the first big races and competitions of the season took place. Time for us to summarize the first highlights. Athletes worldwide have been very successful riding on Continental bicycle tires, may it be Race, Triathlon or Mountainbike.  


  • Paris – Nice: 4 stage wins, Geraint Thomas (Team SKY) overall winner, Richie Porte (BMC) 3rd, Movistar Team Winner Team Classification
  • Tirreno – Adriatico: 2 stage wins, Greg van Avermaet (BMC) overall winner
  • Milano - San Remo: 1. Arnaud Demare (FDJ), 2. Ben Swift (Team SKY), 3. Jurgen Roelandts (Lotto Soudal)
  • Volta Ciclista a Catalunya: 4 stages wins, Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) overall winner
  • Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco: 2 stage wins, Sergio Henao Montoya (Team Sky) 2nd overall, Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) 3rd overall
  • Paris – Roubaix: Mathew Hayman (ORICA-GreenEDGE) overall winner
  • Flèche Wallone: Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team) overall winner
  • Tour de Romandie: 5 stage wins, Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) overall winner, Movistar Team Winner Team Classification
