Hanover, November 2021. It's starting again. After Europe's largest trade fair and most important performance show for tuning, motorsport, sporty production vehicles and classic cars had to be cancelled last year due to the measures taken to combat the Corona pandemic, the anticipation in the industry and scene is now all the greater. And the Continental tuning team will be there again. From 27 November to 5 December, the Infotainment Stand C26 in Hall 7 will be one of the most interesting exhibition destinations for friends of high-quality vehicle refinement in the premium segment.
This year, Michael Schneider, Head of tuning, is again relying on the proven concept of a joint stand with well-known development partners from the tuning industry. AC Schnitzer, Brabus, Klasen Motors, Startech and Techart will be there. The main focus of the exhibition will be the innovative ultra-high-performance tyre SportContact 7. The new flagship of the UHP tyre family is currently being launched on the market and has already set a much-acclaimed first exclamation mark. On a test track in Papenburg, Lower Saxony, a Lamborghini Huracan Performante tuned by Klasen Motors set a new speed record of 384.12 km/h. The 865 kW (1180 hp) super sports car was fitted with high-tech tyres of the new model - on the front axle in standard dimension 245/30 R 20 and on the rear axle in 305/30 R 20. In addition to the SportContact 7, the record-breaking vehicle from Klasen Motors can also be seen on the Continental stand.
The fact that the Lower Saxons are among the outstanding manufacturers of ultra-high performance tyres is also proven by the repeated presentation of the Theo Tuning Award. In 2021, the brand wins the award named after tuning legend Theo Decker for the ninth time in a row. The renowned prize is awarded by the readers of the trade magazines “Tuning” and “VW Speed” in various categories.
