Continental wins through against 15 competitors
Tire brand from Hanover takes the title for the eighth time
Readers of car magazine Autozeitung recently voted Continental top brand among tire manufacturers for what is already the eighth time. Asked about their “positive experiences with a tire brand”, they opted for the premium brand from Hanover by a clear margin. Participants were able to choose from among 16 brands in all. Second and third places went to a French and a Japanese tire manufacturer respectively. More than 8,000 Autozeitung readers took part in the survey held last November and December, selecting their top brands in 20 different categories. A total of some 200 brands from a wide range of product and service categories were up for selection. The results were published in Autozeitung issue 6/2016.
For Continental this eighth commendation from Autozeitung readers represents “a very positive reflection of both our leading tire technology and our product quality,” as Alexander Bahlmann, Head of Communications, Passenger and Light Truck Tires underlined. “What surely played a part here were the very good results that our summer and winter tires scored in Autozeitung tests of recent years. But given the exact nature of the question to which readers were responding, the most positive factor was clearly their own experience with our tires,” he said. “This positive echo over so many years provides an enduring endorsement of the high level of quality we aspire to,” Bahlmann added. “Because if our premium products prove themselves in everyday use for thousands of drivers, in all probability those drivers will continue to put their trust in the performance of our tires in the future as well.”
