Hanover/Korbach, March 28, 2016. The Viessmann Bretter Racing Team from Bottendorf, Hesse, put in a strong team performance on Easter Saturday at the 41st classic endurance race for motorcycles at the Hockenheimring. The impressive performance in qualifying and during the 219 laps to kick off the German Motor Sports Federation endurance cup paid off, with the team securing first place in the overall rankings in class 2 for bikes up to 1,000cc. The vehicle was at the starting line equipped with the brand-new ContiTrack – a slick tire with a state-of-the-art design, which Continental first introduced in mid-March.
Qualifying, pit stops, and 219 laps following a Le Mans start required unconditional efforts from man, machine, and material. The ContiTrack earned the unanimous praise of the drivers when it came to the material. "Flooring, handling, decelerating – everything was as neat as a pin," declared the Viessmann Bretter team. The verdict after 219 laps on the MV Agusta F3 800 without changing tires was an unequivocal statement for the Korbach racing tire. "We completed all laps on a single set of 120/70 R 17 soft and 180/60 R 17 medium tires," was the impressive verdict of driver trio René Raub, Tim Stadtmüller, and Danijel Peric.
The Korbach tire craftsmen are proud of their racing partners from the Viessmann Bretter Racing Team – and of their cutting-edge 1,000 kilometer champion: the ContiTrack.
