Continental: #1 in fuel efficiency
PIT Group ran two separate comparison tests on steer, drive, and trailer tires running on three identical tractors and trailers. Tests were conducted according to the TMC Fuel Consumption Test Procedure - Type III, RP 1103A. Each tire brand was tested on three identical vehicles, switching tires from one vehicle to another between tests to clearly identify their impact on fuel consumption.
