The Conti HAU 5 is Continental’s first EV compatible tire designed specifically for urban metro applications, meeting the diverse needs of all engine types – combustion engine, hybrid and electric vehicles. The tread compounding delivers excellent mileage in high scrub, urban metro conditions and offers a quiet, comfortable ride for drivers and passengers.
The tire has additional sidewall protection for resistance against curbing, abrasions and cuts and sidewall indicators that provide a clear warning when the tire needs to be removed from service for the safety of drivers and passengers. The Conti HAU 5 is 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake and Mud & Snow designated to allow for optimal performance in all weather conditions.
