Concept tire

ContiUrban

The Conti Urban concept tire, which was designed for electrified city buses and delivery vehicles in urban environments, celebrated its world premiere at IAA Transportation 2022. Almost half of the tire is made of renewable and recycled materials. After just one retread, this figure increases to more than 90 percent.

Properties

With a special rubber compound that is used in the tread, the wider tire tread and specially optimized and exceptionally rigid tread design, we both reduced the rolling resistance compared with a current Conti Urban generation by 7 percent and increased the tire service life.

The tire is already approved for use on the road and could very soon enter a trial phase with customers.
