An API is a software interface for data exchange between programs.
Continental's open API allows a seamless data point exchange, giving customers access to a wide range of vehicle and trailer data. This includes ContiConnect tire sensor data such as tire pressure, temperature, and mileage.
Depending on the partner and the individual's need the API is available as inbound and outbound API.
Used as an Inbound API, the Continental system acts as a receiver. Meaning: External applications or systems send requests to retrieve, create, or update data.
Used as an Outbound API, the Continental system acts as a provider for data. Meaning: External applications or systems call our APIs to get data in those external systems.
The Continental Telematics Link is a hardware module installed under the truck or trailer. It collects tire data via RF signals from the tire sensors and sends it via Bluetooth in real time to the fleet management system.
For both, you need to use our In-Tire or Valve Cap sensor.
