German engineered longevity.
Since driving is so much more fun than caring for new tyres, the UltraContact – with its YellowChili compound and harmonized tread pattern design – provides you with ultra-high mileage and a safe and balanced driving experience. So that you don’t have to worry about buying new tires for a very, very long time.
Driving is a pleasure when you know that almost nothing can stop you. The new UltraContact has been developed to give you exactly this feeling: Its all-round protective construction with the thick and robust UltraShield casing provides remarkable damage protection for everyday driving. Well, we wish you a pleasant time on many different streets – whether they are rough or smooth.
We want you to enjoy every mile you spend on the road – even if it rains. A high amount of uniquely shaped sipes increases the so-called wipe-out effect of water and enable short braking distances, while special noise breakers in the grooves lead to significant noise reduction. Just to make sure that every drive you start will be a safe and comfortable one.
The wet grip rating indicates how well the tire will perform in wet conditions, with performance graded from class A down to class E. A high grade means short braking distances on wet roads.
Reduced rolling resistance saves fuel and cuts CO2 emissions. Class A tires deliver the best fuel efficiency, with fuel consumption increasing for each subsequent class through to E.
This is the external rolling noise generated by the tire, measured in decibels. The label shows the noise level rated in classes from A to C.
In addition to these three label values, there are also pictograms − if applicable − relating to performance in severe snow conditions (3PMSF) and/or grip in icy conditions (the latter applies to passenger car tires only).
With the EU label generator, you can access the specific label values for your Continental tires.
